Track chair: Accepting a submission without a review

Track chairs have the power to skip reviews on their track(s), if needed. There are cases where one or more submissions do not need to be reviewed. This article walks you through accepting some, but not all, submissions with out a review. You have two options:

  • Skipping the review on all submissions so you can apply decisions without reviewers. Check out this article for full details. 
  • Skipping the review on specific submissions so you can apply decisions without reviewers on specific submissions only. See below for full details.

 

Skipping the review on a submission(s) before the review is open:

The steps below can be taken before and after allocating submissions to reviewers.

  1. Click to the Reviews hub at the top of the page
  2. You will now see the List of Submissions
  3. Place a check to the left of the submission title(s) you will not review
  4. Click the Do Not Review button at the top of the submissions list
  5. Confirm your choice
  6. That's it! You have skipped the review on the selected submissions.

 

Skipping the review on a submission(s) when the review is open:

  1. Click to the Reviews hub at the top of the page
  2. You will now see the List of Submissions
  3. Place a check to the left of the submission title(s) you do not need to review
  4. Select the Actions drop-down menu
  5. Select Do Not Review 
  6. Confirm your choice
  7. That's it! You have skipped the review on the selected submissions.
