Ex Ordo syncs a list of presenters into the mobile app. Your attendees can search this list to find information about specific people, including when they are presenting their work.
The presenters list sync only includes people that are:
- marked as presenting authors on accepted content
- in the schedule
Viewing and making changes to the list of presenters:
You can view the presenters list in Guidebook Builder. You can reorder the list here, but please bear in mind if you do the sync will replace the order with what is in Ex Ordo. You may need to reorder the list after syncing again.
It is possible to edit some, but not all, content here. You cannot edit content that syncs from Ex Ordo.
❌ You should not edit the following fields in Guidebook:
- Name - please update the author's name on the submission in Ex Ordo
- Label / Subtitle - please update the author's affiliation on the submission in Ex Ordo
- Location - this information is pulled in from the location of the session which is set in the schedule in Ex Ordo
- Description - this will either contain nothing or the author's biography, which must be updated in Ex Ordo
- Anything in the Links tab - the links are automatically created from the Ex Ordo sync and are to the sessions the author is in. Session changes must happen on Ex Ordo.
- You cannot add new presenters to this list. They must be added into Ex Ordo.
This information must be edited on Ex Ordo and then synced to Guidebook.
✅ You can edit the other fields in the app, such as:
- adding an image like a presenter headshot
- adding in the presenters email (after you get their permission, of course!)
Delegate view of the list of presenters:
Each app is unique and therefore the titles and images associated with menu items may vary.
Attendees can open the list of presenters and use the search bar to find one or scroll through the full list. They can click on a person's name for more information.
Depending on what you share, attendees will see information like the presenter's biography and when they are scheduled to present. They can click on the presentation title to see more details about the content of their talk.
