The Ex Ordo platform has a single abstract text box in the system by default. It is mandatory and you can set a word limit, if needed. When submitting, authors would be able to input their abstract into the field on the Title & Abstract step.
The platform you are using may not be collecting abstracts. The organisers may be collecting files only. This article is not relevant to platforms that are not collecting abstracts.
Some conferences need to have separate abstract fields. For example, you may need to have a box for the introduction, a box for results and a box for keywords. Ex Ordo can help with this!
Conference organisers can email support@exordo.com to request that we split the abstract boxes for you. We will need to know:
- How many boxes you need
- The name of each box
- If each box is required or optional. All boxes can be required, but you can choose to make some optional.
- If all the boxes share a word limit (e.g., 600 words for everything) OR
- If each box as a separate word limit (e.g., intro has 200 words, results has 500 words, references has 100 words)
