Setting the abstract word limit
Ex Ordo will easily allow you to manage word count for your abstracts.
To set up the word limit you need to go to the 'Guide for Authors' step of the Author Submission Workflow. You'll be able to specify if you want to limit the number of words in the abstracts, and what the limit should be. In general, Chairs tend to choose the limit in between 100 and 550 words from the dropdown options provided.
Note: Our system can only verify the word count for abstracts pasted in our abstract boxes. It can't count words in any attachment (PDF, Word, etc.).
You can also split your abstract up into multiple boxes with designated word counts for each - more about this here.
