We do not recommend using the RSVP feature if you are using the panels feature.
What is RSVP?
In general, R.S.V.P. stands for a French phrase, "Répondez, s'il vous plaît," which means "Please reply."
RSVP in the Ex Ordo System
In Ex Ordo system, the RSVP function is designed to help you collect the information about which accepted submissions are actually going to appear at the conference. This will give you an idea of which submissions should actually be included in your conference timetable/schedule.
After your decisions are published to the authors, you can ask them to RSVP to confirm that their submission will be present. Authors on the submissions will have to reply to your question and define if one of the authors will actually attend and present the submission on site. You can also set up automated reminder emails to prompt authors to reply before your deadline.
For the authors it looks like the picture below:
Any submission with a declined RSVP status will not appear in your Programme, Presentation or Timetable and their authors will not be asked to upload a final draft. They will not be rejected but will not move forward with the conference.
You will receive feedback about your RSVP numbers from the statistics on your dashboard RSVP overview card, shown as on the picture below:
From there you can extend the deadline for your RSVP, see full list of submissions, or email authors.
This is not replacement for the Registration system i.e. individual authors will still have to register and pay their fee in your registration system.
