Each user in the Ex Ordo system can carry several roles (e.g., chair, author, reviewer, etc.). Each role carries different abilities within the system. When a user is either invited or appointed to become a reviewer, they gain a set of abilities which are confined to the reviewing stage. Reviewers have two main responsibilities:
- accepting invitations and choosing topics (if you use the invitations process)
- completing their reviews
Topic Selection
Reviewers need to be in the Ready to Review status, meaning they have topics. You can assign topics to them if you know them; or you can invite reviewers to log in a select their own topics. We have an article on adding reviewers and ensuring they are ready to review here.
One reviewer responsibility will be to log in and select topics if you invite them. This is not necessary if you assign topics to reviewers.
Completing reviews
The main responsibility reviewers have is to complete reviews. We have a full article on how reviewers complete their reviews here.
